Willing Hands Program

WILLING HANDS is a community-based program. In an effort to fill the gap in services for physically and mentally handicapped adults, Willing hands, Inc. was formed to serve developmentally disabled individuals. Based in an accessible barrier-free building, the center is designed to open its doors to those disabled persons who are not employed competitively or who are not attending a workshop full time.

Willing Hands, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, designed as a tax-exempt corporation by the IRS and the State of New Jersey.


  1. Stimulate independence by furthering the development of the participants' individual capacity for self-determination and decision-making, thus expanding his/her rightful roll as a contributory adult at home and in the community.
  2. Provide an opportunity for awareness of cooperative group involvement.
  3. Encourage positive self-image and self-confidence.
  4. Establish awareness of and participation within the community.

Program Design:

Hours of Operation

9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
3-day or 5-day week (depending on individual)

Program Size

Willing Hands, Inc. can presently accommodate fifteen (15) participants.

Participant Eligibility

  1. 21 years of age or older and/or completion of school district program.
  2. Developmentally disabled.
